Multi-instrumentalist jMAN jR has agreed to play bass guitar with the Los Angeles Laker Band at a handful of Laker games in the 2010 season. The Laker Band plays at every Laker home game before the game, in between quarters, at half time, and at the game's end. They also lead some of the "Charge" chants and "Defense" chants throughout each contest. This is a great opportunity for jMAN jR, especially since the Los Angeles Lakers are now the defending 2009 World Champions. Additionally, all Laker home games are played at The Staples Center, which is the largest performance venue in Los Angeles County. Currently the Laker home games have an average attendance of 18,997 FANS each game, and although Kobe Bryant and the gang are still the main attraction, this is BY FAR the largest crowd jMAN jR has performed for.

Recently, Jman Jr. performed with the internationally renowned Harlem Gospel Choir. The choir goes all over the globe raising money for charity and has performed with other artists like Paul McCartney, Avril Lavigne, and Gorrilaz and for dignitaries like Nelson Mandela and the late Pope John Paul II. The group was scheduled for a performance at the University of Southern California, but most of their band and singers were stuck in airports due to the large blizzard that hit New York in February. So who got the call that afternoon? ...You guessed it! Big thanks to Brandon Operchuck and Matt Phillips for letting the J Man work his magic that night. Jman Jr. has won over the judges on AMERICA'S HOT MUSICIAN TM, the new reality TV show where musicians compete for a solo recording contract. The 12 episode season takes musicians through the first and second rounds in Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Washington, DC and then chronicles the ten semi-finalists in Washington, DC in a "Real World-like" scenario where the musicians live together while they compete in the semi-final and final rounds.

The show airs on Comcast in January 2007; HOWEVER, A SNEAK PREVIEW OF THE FIRST EPISODE CAN BE SEEN ON YOUTUBE!!! Jman Jr. is at the end of episode 1 and the beginning of episode 2. As you will see, other musicians were not so fortunate, so the best was truly saved for last! Follow the links to view.
